The cable car and the panorama restaurant will be closed from 1 January to the end of March 2025 due to renovation work at the valley station and modernization of the cable car control system.

Wonderful hiking and walking routes, a breathtaking view over the Rhine Valley – and evenings with a glittering sea of lights from down below.
The Karren is a very popular meeting place in this region. It is the starting point for many beautiful walking tours and also very relaxing to stay at the top of Karren mountain at an altitude of 976 meters whether to have a meal at the Panoramarestaurant or just to enjoy the view. In just five minutes the cable car will take you above the roofs of the town, giving you a beautiful view from the overlook/observation point of three countries during the day and night.
At the "Karren-Kante" you can enjoy an incredible view over the Rhine Valley, the Swiss mountains and the Lake Constance. On the „Karren-Kante“ balcony, which is 12 meters long and was constructed in 2016, visitors can feel nature up close and personal, virtually standing on thin air.

The cable car operates every 15 minutes.
Please note:
When the legally required maintenance work is done in spring and autumn, the cable-car and Panoramarestaurant are closed.

By carleave the motorway at exit 18 Dornbirn West and continue along L 204 (Lustenauerstraße) in direction Dornbirn center.
After 2.2 km, cross straigth over the junction at Dornbirn Hospital. After approx. 1 km according to the signs you will find the cable car station.
